Whats up man? I came across your site by doing a google of "Going out sober". I can honestly say that everything that you wrote is exactly word for word what I'm trying to accomplish myself. The one thing that isn't the same is that I lasted around 80 days opposed to your 41. If you go out, the best thing to do is to always have a cup in your hand so you don't get the "Why aren't u drinking?" question. Right now I am hungover from a weekend of drinking, and want to get back into the sober way of living once again. Let me recommend a book to you. It's called, "The Easy Way to Quit Drinking" it will help you rationalize your thoughts in a more clear and concise way and it will guide you in times that you feel weak and want to drink again. Hope you stick to the year man. But, if you do accomplish your feat, why just one year? Why not do it for life? Easier said than done right? lol
