To some degree it’s about getting attention, right? You say something and hope someone responds or you just say it for the sake of saying it. Someone likened tweets and status messages to like opening your door and yelling whatever you wanted to say and seeing if anyone responds… while not a fair comparison… I think it’s pretty close.

I loved this. I laughed the whole way through. I have never used Twitter, but I recently tried Google’s Buzz (through Gmail), and I really don’t like how you are basically talking … to no one. People don’t necessarily answer you (e.g., if you comment on something they post), and then they go ahead and keep posting, as if you’re not even there. I hate anything that de-personalizes communication. I don’t know how to feel good continuously posting things about myself while ignoring my friends and family. Like you and many other people posting here, I must be missing the Twitter gene. Yay!

Yeah this song is pretty garbage I’m from New Bedford, MA and I could of sworn I heard him saying “I’m in new bedford trick” so I decided to look it up! And found out there is many of them but honestly….. I can say that everytime I hear this song I feel homicidal lol I have never in my life heard such a corny song like this that I hate so much!!! Agreed?

I think twitter is so stupid and such a waste of time. I do SEO for people and I am forced to deal with twitter. As a reader I think twitter is ugly as sin and offends my eye with all the stupid hash marks and @ and tinyurl and ugly urls. I hate it.
I hope it dies as soon as possible. the good news is people get very bored with it and I hope that kills it in the end.

I dislike twitter for the reasons you give. I kind of loathe myself for even typing the word twitter, ugh. What makes me really sad is that the logo of a bluebird has leaked out and contaminated ALL other bluebird images. They ruined bluebirds.
